About
Hi, my name is Nicole Stevens!
I'm currently a student at Oklahoma State University pursuing a doctoral degree in Agricultural Communications.
While I grew up heavily involved in the agriculture industry, I was never found without a camera or some way to capture the moment. Gifted a Nikon at the age of seven, I would easily keep myself entertained in the barns for hours.
While I can still entertain myself for an embarrassingly long time making photos, I have since developed my own style and have cultivated my skills.
While I no longer only shoot agricultural based endeavors, my true passion remains in the arena or barns chasing stock.
Today, you can usually find me at a concert, a branding, or in a rodeo arena across the country.
Thank you for your interest in my work. If my style suits you and you'd like to work together- please reach out, I'd love to talk.
My
Story
Before my time at Oklahoma State, I lived in many towns across Oklahoma. My father is an agricultural educator and shaped my educational journey through the experiences we shared as I grew up.

My professional photography journey began as a means to fulfill application requirements as an agricultural educator. As I began to learn more and even teach the topic in my agricultural communications class, I realized it was my passion.

I began to spend all of my free time chasing new opportunities to challenge my developing skills. I also spent hours upon hours in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop to truly understand all aspects of photo- even post-production.

In a full circle moment, my father was also the person to get me into capturing rodeo through photo by allowing me to shoot the IPRA sanctioned rodeo hosted by his round-up club each year. From that weekend on, I have shot nearly every weekend and free moment I can find.

I have found that my favorite way to view the world is through my Sony. I am so grateful for every chance I have to continue to grow in this field. Please check out my work in this site and don't hesitate to reach out!
Resume
I have been told that I have lived a lot of life in the short time I have been here. It's hard for me to argue that point. I have had the opportunity to pursue research academically through work with Oklahoma State as well as professionally through my time with the USDA. I have also worked as a Logistics Management Specialist and Engine Reconstruction Specialist for the Air Force. I then taught my favorite subject to high school students- agriculture. Each and every opportunity has taught me about myself and equipped me with more skills, making me a better candidate for the occupation I ultimately choose.
